Isan Survivor is an NGO whose headquarters are based in the Phonphisai district of Nongkhai Province. It was devised and set up by Jack, Mr.Konchanat Panasri , and friends with the dream of creating development in his local village and promoting and preserving the cultural life of Isan people.

         The main idea of the organization is to provide opportunities for tourists who want to be  meaningful volunteers  in the  Isan region while  traveling in Thailand.
           Another aspect is to experience “off the beaten track ” Thailand.  The Isan-Survivor program lets people get to know the real Isan by participating in cultural and adventurous activities with local people that can create  great friendships and bonding with the fun loving, beautiful and kind people of this Isan region.

      Our organization is a non-profit organization that is self-reliant, independent, and run entirely by volunteers and for volunteers. We work and co-operate with the famous international volunteering organization uVolunteer , local government and government schools, and we get some support and certification from them, therefore as a volunteer you are regarded like a government teacher and a guest of the government and communities. This could also make it possible to extend your Visa if wishing to stay in Thailand longer.

        Our staff is made up of local kids who came back to their hometown after graduating from University, and usually after working in the big city, because of their realization and appreciation of Isan people’s spirit.  We all have the same goal and dream, so we gather to help and work in Isan Survivor Organization proudly to see something new for the changing of the area in a better way.  

     Mr. Nittinai Phachai , Nai , 26 years old and is another  real child of Isan, who loves to stay in his hometown. He used to work for a large  driving school company as the  IT manager in Bangkok. He moved back home to join us , because he liked the ideas and  concept  of the organization and now works as the coordinator and IT programmer.

     Kwancheewa Pilasuth    or Te Te graduated from Rangsit University in Bangkok in computer science. She teaches Thai lessons to volunteers and other foreigners. She also loves to teach volunteers traditional Thai cooking and dancing
